City Tour Shanghai

Journey Through China's Most Dynamic Metropolis

Once a small fishing village, Shanghai has transformed into China’s most cosmopolitan city, showcasing the dramatic evolution of modern China. Known as the “Paris of the East” in the 1920s, it is where Eastern traditions seamlessly blend with Western influences. After becoming a treaty port in 1843, Shanghai rose to global prominence, evolving into a city that celebrates both its ancient roots and modern aspirations.

Today, traditional shikumen lanes and the serene Yu Garden stand in contrast to the futuristic skyline of the Pudong district. The colonial charm of The Bund meets the towering Shanghai Tower, while historic tea houses coexist with luxury boutiques and world-class restaurants. From colonial buildings, tree-lined streets, to cutting-edge art and shopping districts, Shanghai is a city of cultural confluence, constantly reinventing itself while staying deeply connected to its heritage.

Traveling with two little ones isn't always easy, but Panda Tourism made it a breeze. They kept the kids entertained with fun activities, and the guides, Alex and Lulu, were so patient and flexible. Climbing the Great Wall was a highlight – the views were incredible! Highly recommend for families looking for a smooth and enjoyable trip:)

I had the best time exploring China with Panda Tourism for my new years trip. From Great Wall to cuddly pandas in Chengdu to the jaw-dropping landscapes in Guilin, everything was just incredible. Guides were super friendly and really knew their stuff, they had great tips for local eats and cool spots to explore on my own. I was a little nervous traveling solo, but China felt very safe and the guides made me feel so taken care of the whole way, and I also had the best travel group ever, met great friends in the small tour group.
